The countdown is almost over. You're already checking the weather at your summer destination, your inbox is finally slowing down, and the only thing left to do is switch on your Out of Office and disconnect.

But while you're packing your bags, someone has already planned the trip down to the smallest detail.

We're talking about Siliconiton.

Whether you're traveling by car, ferry, yacht, or train, there's a very good chance that a small piece of our technology is already working behind the scenes—in your vehicle's engine, propulsion system, or safety components.

That's why you can enjoy your vacation and sleep soundly.

On the Highway: Don't Worry, We're Inside the Engine

Stuck in traffic on a motorway under the blazing summer sun at 38°C (100°F)?

Take a look around.

Among the cars, buses, and trucks surrounding you, statistics tell an interesting story: 1 out of every 5 trucks in Europe is equipped with Siliconiton components.

You can focus on the journey instead of worrying about mechanical failures or overheating because our FKM (Fluoroelastomer) seals are working inside those engines.

Modern automotive and heavy-duty engines operate at increasingly higher temperatures and are exposed to highly aggressive fluids, including low-viscosity synthetic oils, additive-rich fuels, and advanced coolants.

Our standard FKM seals provide:

  1. Continuous thermal resistance up to 200°C (392°F), with peaks up to 230°C (446°F), without hardening or cracking.
  2. Low compression set, maintaining elasticity and sealing force over time while virtually eliminating the risk of oil or coolant leaks.
  3. Outstanding chemical resistance against hydrocarbons, ozone, and environmental exposure.

At Sea: Enjoy the View, the Engine Room Is Protected

You've finally reached the port.

Heading to Sardinia, the Balearic Islands, or embarking on a luxury yacht cruise?

If you're on a ferry, there's a 33% chance you're sailing with Siliconiton technology on board. If you're cruising on a yacht in the Mediterranean, that figure rises to 1 in 2.

So relax on deck and enjoy the sea—the engine room and propulsion systems are protected by our high-performance sealing solutions.

Marine environments combine engine heat stress with corrosive saltwater exposure and the growing use of next-generation biofuels.

That's where our advanced materials make the difference:

FKM ETP (Extreme):

Used in fuel delivery and injection systems.

While conventional fluoroelastomers can struggle against the chemical attack of modern green fuels and polar solvents, FKM ETP offers near-universal chemical resistance.

Aflas® (FEPM):

Marine lubricants often contain highly aggressive amine-based additives that can rapidly degrade standard elastomers. Aflas is our dedicated solution. It provides exceptional resistance to:

  1. Amine attack
  2. High-pressure steam
  3. Heavy-duty transmission hydraulic fluids

while maintaining stable mechanical properties even at 200°C (392°F).

Trains and Tractors: No Problem, We Control the Braking

Prefer mountains, countryside escapes, or an Interrail adventure across Europe?

Either way, safety remains non-negotiable.

From high-speed trains carrying passengers at hundreds of kilometers per hour to tractors working vineyards in Tuscany or Burgundy, one critical system must perform flawlessly every time: The braking system.

You can travel with confidence because the hydraulic and pneumatic sealing performance of these systems relies on Siliconiton precision.

Bringing a passenger train safely to a stop at 300 km/h (186 mph) or maintaining stability on a tractor operating under load on steep terrain generates extreme thermal and mechanical stress on braking components.

FFKM (Perfluoroelastomer):

For the most demanding braking applications and ultra-high-pressure hydraulic circuits, FFKM represents the pinnacle of sealing technology. It delivers:

  1. Resistance to temperatures exceeding 315°C (599°F)
  2. Compatibility with aggressive synthetic hydraulic fluids, including phosphate ester-based fluids
  3. Instantaneous braking system response by preventing seal degradation and eliminating performance loss caused by sealing failure

Zero-Defect Approach:

When it comes to safety-critical systems such as brakes, there is no room for compromise.

That's why we apply Extremely tight dimensional tolerances and automated optical inspection on 100% of produced parts to ensure maximum reliability.

Zero Surprises, Wherever You Go

Whether you're sitting in motorway traffic, cruising across the Mediterranean, or traveling by train toward your destination, one thing remains constant:

Somewhere, a Siliconiton seal is working to prevent problems before they happen.

Because the true value of a component is not seeing it perform.

It's never noticing that it could stop.

Enjoy Your Vacation. We've Already Taken Care of the Seals.

Choosing Siliconiton for your industrial applications means exactly that:

Being able to switch off your phone, relax, and know that your sealing solutions will continue doing their job flawlessly.

Safe travels and happy holidays from the entire Siliconiton team!
